Zhang Jianqing, the professor and doctoral tutor of Economics and Management School,vice dean of Institute for Development of Central China, Wuhan university, vicepresidentof ChinaAssociation ofRegionalScience, executive director of Chinese Society of World Economy,vice chairmanof Hubei Society of World Economy, vicepresidentofPlanning institute ofHubeiprovince.

He has been engaged in teaching and research work on the world economy and regional economy for a long time,and has published more than 80 articles on many academic journals, such as “the World Economy”, “World Economics and Politics”, “Quantitative and Technical Economy”, “Foreign Social Science”, “ Modern International Relations”, “International Trade Issues”, “International Financial Research”,“World Economy Study” ,“Economic Review” and so on.So far,he has successively presided and completed more than 50 projects commissioned by International and National Social Science Fund, the Ministry of Education Fund, the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, the National Development Bank and the relevant provinces and cities, and enterprises.

In January,1997 - January,1998,he was delegated by the the former State Education Commission to be a visiting scholar in the Department of Economics of University of Chicago in the United States,which was funded by American Ford Foundation.During August,2000-October,he participated in University Professor Delegation to Geneva, Switzerland organized by the China Ministry of Education to visit WTO(World Trade Organization),UNCTAD(United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) and other international organizations for research.From February to August in 2004,he went to Department of Economics of State University of New York to do a visiting research,which was sponsored by the Ministry of Education High-Visit project.In September,2005,he visited Clermont University and University of La Rochelle in France.In 2007,he went to University of Warsaw in Poland for research.In 2011,he visited America again.From September 16,2012 to October 12,2012,he went to Russia as a visiting scholar.During July 2, 2013-July 15,2013,he visited Taiwan for research.

His book,Development Research on Post-war Foreign Investment in the United States,Wuhan University Press, (1995 version),had the honor to get the third prize of Outstanding Social Science Achievements of Hubei Province in 2001.In 2011,his series papers,the world economic imbalances and governance,won the third prize of Outstanding Social Science Achievements of Hubei Province.
