The afternoon of September 9th 2013 in Beijing witnessed the signature between Mao Zhenhua and WHU President Li Xiaohong on an agreement concerning Mao Zhenhua’s50 million RMB donations to construct the Humanities and Social Science Buildingfor WHU in his own name.

The agreement was signed on the occasion of “the 20thAnniversary Celebration of China Chengxin Credit Management Co., Ltd. and the Ceremony of WHU School fellow Mao Zhenhua’s Donation to Wuhan University” held in Beijing Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. As the founder of the company and WHU economics department schoolfellow of grade 1979, Mao Zhenhua is acting as a pioneer in the rating industry of China. In 1992, upholding the belief of contributing to the country, he set up the first capital market credit rating agency - China Chengxin Credit Management Co., Ltd. After 20 years of development, the company has become the leader in credit rating field of China.

Over the years, Mao Zhenhua always cares about the development of WHU and has donated many times and contributed a lot for the construction and development of Wuhan University. On the occasion of the 120th anniversarycelebration of Wuhan University, he even donated RMB50 millionYuan to Wuhan University to build the Humanities and Social Science Building, which fully expresses his deep appreciation and attachment to his mother school.
