Abstract:Professor Nonna Martinov-Bennie’s presentation provides an overview of the current audit environment and the various forces shaping the future of audit and assurance. A number of current challenges facing the auditing profession including some of the important current International Audit and Assurance Standard Board’s (IAASB) projects are outlined. Potential research opportunities are also examined.
