On January 12, 2024, thanks to the early promotion by Mao Zhenhua, the president of the Hong Kong Alumni Association of Wuhan University and an adjunct professor at the University of Hong Kong, Dean Nie Jun went to the University of Hong Kong (HKU)business school for in-depth cooperative exchanges with Dean Cai Hongbin. Alumni Mao Zhenhua was invited to the meeting.
At the meeting, Dean Nie Jun introduced the school's basic situation and development ideas to the participants, detailing its achievements and efforts in talent cultivation, discipline construction, and international exchanges. Dean Cai Hongbin shared the valuable experience and successful cases of the University of Hong Kong (HKU)business school in developing professional master's programs. Besides, the meeting had in-depth discussions on topics like joint training of undergraduate and doctoral students, teacher exchanges, and scientific research cooperation. Both sides agreed to accelerate the discussion of cooperation details later, reach a cooperation intention soon, and sign a cooperation agreement. This meeting brought new ideas for the internationalization of the two schools, built a more convenient platform for exchanges between students and teachers, and injected new vitality into the academic research cooperation.

Driven by the goal of improving the internationalization level and promoting the high-quality development of various undertakings, the college leadership team has taken the initiative to seek breakthroughs. Among them, Secretary Jiang Xingli and Dean Nie Jun have successively led teams to visit a series of experts of the Consultative Committee in person.
