On August 15th, director Chen Weijun of the Policy Research Department, director Hu Jian and principal staff member Wang Jin of the United States and Canada Affairs Department, principal staff member Yang Yang and intern Chen Yalan of the Policy Research Department came from Foreign Affairs Work Committee Office of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, Foreign Affairs Office of Hubei Province People’s Government to our school for a investigation. Deputy dean Yu Zhen, assistant dean Guo Lin, director of External Relation Office Li Xinxin etc participated in the survey.

At the beginning of the meeting, deputy dean Yu Zhen extended a warm welcome to the Delegation. Then, director Chen Weijun and director Hu Jian briefly represented the purpose of the survey, aiming to carry out exchanges and cooperation on issues such as the US and Canadian Economy and Sino-US economic and trade relations. Deputy dean Yu and assistant dean Guo introduced EMS as well as the basic situation and achievements of the Institute of Economic Research of Canada and the United States.

The two sides had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the current world economic situation and China-US relations.

Director Hu Jian and director Chen Weijun expressed their sincere thanks for the warm reception of the school and put forward the hope of long-term cooperation in the future, looking forward to the joint efforts of both sides to promote the development of foreign affairs research in Hubei Province.
