On July 7, during the summer of the lunar calendar, Zhang Wenzhong, founder of Wumart group, chairman of multipoint mall and chairman of Nankai alumni entrepreneur association, and representatives of Wumart group and Nankai University Alumni visited Wuhan University. The donation of Wumart Group to Wuhan University was facilitated by Mr. Zhang Wenzhong's long-time friend Chen Dongsheng alumni. Prior to this, Zhang Wenzhong had visited Wuhan University many times. In December 2019, Zhang Wenzhong was invited as a representative of the alumni friends of Wuhan University to give a wonderful speech at the Luojia Forum of Wuhan University Alumni. He pointed out that with the theme of "New Open Lake, on Luojia Mountain, Same Mission, Same Original Mind" Wuhan University and Nankai should consolidate the strength of alumni entrepreneurs", which aroused enthusiastic responses from teachers and students on site. On April 23 this year, Chen Dongsheng donated 33 million yuan to Nankai University to support the development and construction of the financial discipline of Nankai University.

Previously, he was inspired by Tian Yuan, an alumnus of Wuhan University, founder of Yuanming capital and chairman of maisheng medical group, to support Tian Yuan in donating money to establish the China entrepreneur research center of Wuhan University.
